Our mission is to reduce loneliness for both people and pets, ease the financial burden of pet ownership, and make pet care more accessible through trusted, local connections. By bringing people together around their love for animals, we help create stronger communities and healthier, happier pets.
Across Australia, animal shelters are at capacity, and too many pets are surrendered due to isolation, cost, or lack of support. Pawshare Club exists to change that — by helping pet owners and dog lovers support one another before challenges become crises, so more pets can stay in loving homes.

Every member creates a detailed profile on pawshare club, where you can read about each dog's behavior, size, care needs, and personality.
We highly recommend setting up multiple coffee or brunch meetups, or even going on walks together. This way, you can get to know the other pawrents (& dog lovers) and their dog’s personality before committing to long term pet sittings

No. We currently do not offer insurance through Pawshare Club. Some pet owners already have their own pet insurance.
Offering platform-wide insurance can significantly increase membership fees — and that's one of the main reasons traditional paid pet-sitting platforms charge high commissions per booking.
At Pawshare Club, our goal is different. We're building a community-driven, accessible pet care network that eases both the financial and emotional burden for pet lovers. We believe no pet should be left alone too long or surrendered simply because of cost and/or lack of local support.

Absolutely! Many of our members have lost a pet or recently moved and aren’t ready for a permanent pet yet — but still miss that special connection. Pawshare Club is a wonderful way to spend time with pets, even if you don’t have one of your own right now.
You can help by caring for a dog or cat — it’s also a great opportunity to see what kind of pet might best suit your lifestyle before making a long-term commitment.
If you're working toward a dog training certificate, this is a fantastic way to gain hands-on experience with different breeds and temperaments.
You might even meet fellow dog lovers who are interested in sharing pet duties, offering care support for each other — with or without having a pet at home.
We only accept dogs and indoor cats at this stage.

Unfortunately, no — for the safety of all members (humans and pets), dogs or cats with serious behavioural issues should not join Pawshare Club until their behaviour has improved.
While many of our members are loving and experienced pet lovers, most do not have professional training to safely care for pets with complex behavioural needs. This could put both the pet and the carer at risk.
If your dog needs extra support, we recommend connecting with a qualified trainer or professional pet sitter. You can also explore relevant Facebook groups and communities where you can get advice and guidance from professionals and peers.
