As expats who travel often, my husband and I struggled with the cost and logistics of pet ownership—so we fostered a guide dog puppy called Gulliver instead. During that time, we experienced an amazing network of volunteers who helped care for Gulliver whenever we were away. But once we adopted Gulliver after he dropped out of the training program, that support ended, leaving us facing the full cost and stress of finding reliable care.

We realized many dog owners are in the same boat—juggling travel, tight budgets, and limited support, leading to record-high pet surrenders in Australia.

That’s why Pawshare Club was born—a sharing economy platform where dog owners and local pet lovers exchange walks and pet-sitting using a fair point system. It keeps things balanced and encourages long-term participation, making pet care more affordable, reliable, and stress-free.
